Fourth Fridays at The Carnegie:  The Carnegie Community Arts Center will host a variety of art and entertainment events every month on the 4th Friday.  Regular events will include “Tunes at Noon”, which features musical guests plus a healthy lunch; “Open Gallery Night” from 5 to 8 p.m. means all studios & shops will be open including the Yellow Umbrella and Sheltowee Art Shop plus there will often be a featured artist reception & exhibit.  For information call 606-677-0333 or visit www.carnegiecac.com

2010 KY Blast District Rally (Gold Wing Motorcycles) – August 5-7, 2010

Lake Cumberland Raft Up 2010 – Friday, August 13th through Sunday, August 15th, 2010
The “Lake Cumberland Raft Up 2010” will be a lake-wide event attempting to break the world record number of boats rafted (moored) together simultaneously.  All marinas on the lake will provide a full weekend of fun and festivities with the actual “Raft-UP” taking place Saturday, August 14th between the hours of noon and 5:00pm.

The folks from Guinness World Records will be on hand to adjudicate the event.  Participants may register at www.lakecumberlandraftup.com or any of the nine marinas located on beautiful Lake Cumberland .  The Association encourages all boaters from across the states of Kentucky , Ohio , Indiana and Tennessee to join in with the Lake Cumberland boating community.  All size boats are encouraged to participate, even row boats & canoes.

Somernites Cruise  -  08/21/2010
Join us every fourth Saturday April through October for the Somernites Cruise. You will discover a relaxed, family-oriented atmosphere with great music throughout the downtown area. Admission is free and the community is encouraged to bring lawn chairs to sit and enjoy the hundreds of beautiful show cars as they enter the show area. The “Show and Shine” goes from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m., and the “Cruising the Strip” begins at 7 p.m. and lasts through the evening.
