KY Blast District Rally (Gold Wing Motorcycles) – August

The Kentucky District of the Gold Wing Road Riders
Association hosts this annual Rally for all Gold Wing

Raft Up 2010 – Friday, August 13th
through Sunday, August 15th, 2010
The “Lake Cumberland Raft Up 2010” will be a
lake-wide event attempting to break the world record
number of boats rafted (moored) together simultaneously.
All marinas on the lake will provide a full weekend of fun
and festivities with the actual “Raft-UP” taking place
Saturday, August 14th between the hours of noon
and 5:00pm.
The
folks from Guinness World Records will be on hand to
adjudicate the event. Participants may register at www.lakecumberlandraftup.com
or any of the nine marinas located on beautiful
Lake
Cumberland
. The Association encourages all boaters from across
the states of
Kentucky
,
Ohio
,
Indiana
and
Tennessee
to join in with the
Lake
Cumberland
boating community. All size boats are encouraged to
participate, even row boats & canoes.

Join us every fourth Saturday April through October
for the Somernites Cruise. You will discover a relaxed,
family-oriented atmosphere with great music throughout the
downtown area. Admission is free and the community is
encouraged to bring lawn chairs to sit and enjoy the
hundreds of beautiful show cars as they enter the show
area. The “Show and Shine” goes from 1 p.m. until 7
p.m., and the “Cruising the Strip” begins at 7 p.m.
and lasts through the evening.
