Top recruits to play in Don Marshall Ram "E" Classic at PCHS

In February, Pulaski County High School will host eight prep school teams from across the nation whose rosters include some of the top recruits in NCAA Division I men’s basketball.

One of those recruits is Sacha Killeya-Jones, a Virginia Episcopal 6-foot-10 power forward who has committed to the No. 13-ranked University of Kentucky Wildcats for the 2016-17 season.

The Don Marshall Ram “E” Classic begins Feb. 6 and includes two days of play for local and prep teams.

The tournament will also feature ESPN Top 10 players Jarrod Vanderbilt (Victory Prep), Josh Jackson (Prolific Prep), Trevon Duval and Billy Preston (Advanced Prep), as well as No. 1 international player Thon Maker (Athletes Institute) and Michigan State-committed Miles Bridges (Huntington Prep).

Somerset High School and Franklin Simpson will kick off the tournament at 10 a.m. Feb. 6, followed by games between McCreary Central and Clinton County, Barbourville and Louisville Wagner, Southwestern and Owensboro, and Pulaski and Bell counties. There will be four prep team match-ups Feb. 6, and three on Feb. 7.

The schedule is as follows:

Feb. 6

10 a.m.: Somerset vs. Franklin Simpson

11:30 a.m.: McCreary Central vs. Clinton County

1 p.m.: Barbourville vs. Louisville Wagner

2:30 p.m.: Huntington Prep vs. Quality Education

4 p.m.: Southwestern vs. Owensboro

5:30 p.m.: Pulaski County vs. Bell County

7 p.m.: Prolific Prep vs. Virginia Episcopal

8:30 p.m.: Athletes Institute vs. Advanced Prep Institute

10 p.m.: Victory Prep vs. Carlisle School

Feb. 7

11 a.m.: Quality Education vs. Prolific Prep

1 p.m.: Huntington Prep vs. Victory Prep

3 p.m.: Carlisle School vs. Sunrise Christian Academy
