Big South Fork Art Club Exhibit – May 28 through June 23, 2010
The Carnegie Community Arts Center will host this large art exhibit which will begin with a Reception on Friday, May 28th at 6 p.m. with the 10 artists on hand to explain their work.  The exhibit will feature originals and prints plus an assortment of crafts.

Opening Night of the Lake Cumberland Grand Prix 2010

Devon Allman, son of iconic singer/songwriter Gregg Allman of the legendary Allman Brothers Band, will help kick off the Lake Cumberland Grand Prix 2010 on June 4 in Somerset by adding a helping of electrified southern rock and blues to a stellar lineup of entertainment, parties, and special events planned for race weekend as Offshore Super Series (OSS) powerboat racing returns to Lake Cumberland.

In addition to the free Honeytribe performance at 7 p.m., Friday’s opening day for Race Village will also feature a “Parade of Boats” from 6-7 p.m., during which the race teams and their powerboats will be on full display as they head north up U.S. 27 in Somerset from The Center and back again.

Lake Cumberland Grand Prix ( OSS Powerboat Race) – June 5th & 6th, 2010

Somernites Cruise  -  06/26/2010
Join us every fourth Saturday April through October for the Somernites Cruise. You will discover a relaxed, family-oriented atmosphere with great music throughout the downtown area. Admission is free and the community is encouraged to bring lawn chairs to sit and enjoy the hundreds of beautiful show cars as they enter the show area. The “Show and Shine” goes from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m., and the “Cruising the Strip” begins at 7 p.m. and lasts through the evening.
